DAY 1: SAI GON TO LONG HAI (100 KM)
Escape the hustle and bustle of Saigon and head to Long Hai. Start your adventure by visiting The Minh Dam Army Base to learn about its historical significance. Then, explore the tranquil Zen Monastery with our experienced guide to gain insight into Buddhism in Vietnam. Before arriving in Long Hai, stop at the historical relic of Dinh Mountain for a dose of local history.
DAY 2: LONG HAI TO MUI NE (160 KM)
Leave Long Hai behind and set out for Mui Ne. On the way, visit Takou Mountain, Thay Thim Pagoda, and the bustling local fishing market. Explore the fascinating Champa towers and learn about the 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. Finally, enjoy a refreshing swim at Mui Ne Beach.
DAY 3: MUI NE TO DA LAT (160 KM)
Ride from Mui Ne to Da Lat, stopping at unique farms, the Pongour Waterfall, and dunes. This journey allows you to enjoy the scenic beauty and local coffee. Upon arrival, experience the cool climate and French colonial architecture of Da Lat.
DAY 4: DA LAT TO LAK LAKE (160 KM)
Your adventure begins with a ride through the breathtaking countryside. Visit a flower and coffee farm to taste different types of coffee, including Mocha, Robusta, Arabica, and even weasel coffee. Stop at a local family to try homemade rice wine and see the silk-making process at a silkworm factory. The day's highlight is visiting the Elephant Waterfall, followed by a Buddhist Temple with a giant Happy Buddha statue. Continue through the mountains to K'ho village and end your day at Lak Lake.
DAY 5: LAK LAKE TO BUON MA THUOT (120 KM)
Explore Lak Lake and take a dug-out canoe trip to experience its natural beauty (optional). Visit local rice paper and noodle makers or the local market for fresh baguettes and chicken. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the national park before heading to Buon Ma Thuot, the coffee capital of Vietnam.
DAY 6: BUON MA THUOT TO KON TUM (240 KM)
Begin the day with a visit to a political prison and learn about its history from the French to the American war. Relax at Phu Cuong Waterfall and visit small villages to see local life. Continue your Ride to Kon Tum.
DAY 7: KON TUM TO PHUOC SON (160 KM)
Discover the daily life of Vietnamese people and visit war monuments, including VC tanks used during the war. Explore the old Phoenix Airport and Charlie Hill, which were significant battlefields during the war. Ride through beautiful landscapes to Phuoc Son.
DAY 8: PHUOC SON TO HOI AN (140 KM)
Ride along the Ho Chi Minh road, visiting Chu Ru village and a waterfall. Stop at a pineapple farm to taste fresh fruit and local chicken eggs. Explore the Cao Dai temple and learn about incense making before arriving in the historic town of Hoi An.
DAY 9: HOI AN TO HUE (150 KM)
Ride along the coastal road, visit fishing villages, Lang Co Peninsula, and the famous Hai Van Pass for breathtaking views. Explore Marble Mountain and Tra Que Vegetable Village before reaching Hue.
DAY 10: HUE TO KHE SANH (160 KM)
Start by visiting the Khe Sanh Combat Base, Ta Con Airfield, and Khe Sanh Museum. Explore historical landmarks such as the Hien Luong Bridge, 17th Parallel, DMZ, and Vinh Moc Tunnels. Ride along peaceful roads to reach Khe Sanh.
DAY 11: KHE SANH TO PHONG NHA (220 KM)
Ride through the scenic Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park along the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Visit significant locations from the Vietnam War and enjoy the stunning natural beauty. Arrive in Phong Nha for an overnight stay.
DAY 12: EXPLORE PHONG NHA
Enjoy a rest day in Phong Nha National Park. Visit the Paradise Cave, Phong Nha Cave, and the adventurous Dark Cave.
DAY 13: PHONG NHA TO KY ANH (180 KM - 6 HOURS RIDING)
Travel through beautiful backroads to Ngang Pass and learn about local industries such as shrimp farming and salt production. Arrive in Phong Nha, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and explore its breathtaking caves.
DAY 14: KY ANH TO VINH (150 KM - 5 HOURS RIDING)
Depart Vinh and continue south on the Ho Chi Minh Trail, visiting notable sites like the Dong Loc Three-Way Crossroads and Huong Tich Pagoda. Overnight in Ky Anh.
DAY 15: VINH TO THANH HOA (224 KM - 7 HOURS RIDING)
Ride along the Ma River to the Ho Chi Minh Trail, experiencing the beauty of rural Vietnam and its historic pathways. Visit Sen Village, the birthplace of Ho Chi Minh, before ending the day in Vinh.
DAY 16: THANH HOA TO NINH BINH (90 KM - 2 HOURS RIDING)
Start the day with Bai Dinh Temple, one of the largest in Vietnam, followed by a visit to Cuc Phuong National Park to see rare wildlife. Continue to do a boat trip through the stunning Tam Coc-Bich Dong area, before overnighting in Ninh Binh.
DAY 17: NINH BINH TO MAI CHAU (150 KM)
After a village breakfast, ride through remote country roads and visit cultural sites like the Spiritual Fish Springs, Fairy Caves, and the historic Ho Dynasty Citadel. Arrive in Mai Chau, a serene valley nestled in the mountains, known for its lush rice paddies, stilt houses, and rich ethnic culture. It offers a peaceful escape into Vietnam’s rural life, where visitors can experience traditional crafts, local homestays, and scenic landscapes that blend towering limestone cliffs with tranquil villages.
DAY 18: MAI CHAU TO SON LA (200KM)
Departing from Mai Chau, our Vietnam motorbike adventure continues as we follow a narrow dirt road, heading west along the Da River. Along the way, we discover caves of historical significance, filled with relics such as stone axes and ancient artifacts. After crossing the lake on a local ferry, we ride through a stunning landscape of towering mountains and the meandering river. A brief stop in Bac Yen for refreshments sets us on course northward, tracing the wild riverbank. We wrap up the day in Son La, relaxing in the comfort of a cozy hotel.
DAY 19: SON LA TO SAPA (215KM)
Start your day early from Son La, embarking on a scenic motorbike ride through winding mountain roads. Enjoy breathtaking views of terraced rice fields and lush valleys as you pass through rural villages. Stop for a short break in Yen Chau to experience local culture and enjoy a cup of traditional tea. Continue your journey, crossing the O Quy Ho Pass—one of the most famous mountain passes in Vietnam—offering panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. Arrive in Sapa by late afternoon, where you can explore the town’s vibrant markets or unwind with a stroll through the misty hills.
DAY 20: SAPA TO BAC HA (120 KM)
Travel 120km to Bac Ha, known for its Sunday market. This vibrant marketplace offers a glimpse into the lives of various ethnic groups, their hand-woven goods, and the stunning natural beauty that frames their world.
DAY 21: BAC HA TO HA GIANG (200KM)
The 200km ride to Ha Giang showcases the plateau's magnificence. Journey through Xin Man village and Hoang Su Phi, capturing photos of the landscape's grandeur before arriving in Ha Giang.
DAY 22: HA GIANG DONG VAN (160 KM)
This 160 km trip from Ha Giang City to Dong Van includes a stop in Quan Ba to admire the pine forests and the awe-inspiring Ma Pi Leng Pass, with its panoramic views of cliffs and the Nho Que River.
DAY 23: DONG VAN TO BAO LAC - MAJESTIC LANDSCAPES
Ride from Dong Van to Bao Lac, capturing the essence of Vietnam's rugged beauty. The Ma Pi Leng Pass offers breathtaking views, encapsulating the spirit of adventure.
DAY 24: BAO LAC TO BA BE LAKE - NATURE'S SPLENDOR
The journey to Ba Be Lake traverses lush landscapes, offering a glimpse into the serene beauty and rich biodiversity of Vietnam. Enjoy local delicacies and the tranquility of Ba Be National Park.
DAY 25: BA BE LAKE TO HANOI
The journey concludes with a ride from Ba Be Lake back to Hanoi, encapsulating the adventure's essence with a final stretch of scenic beauty and the anticipation of returning to the city's lively ambiance.
NOTE:
This tour includes 25 days of riding, but you can select 2 days for rest. We highly recommend taking a rest day in Hoi An after the 9th day and another in Mai Chau after the 17th day. With these breaks, the total tour duration will be 27 days.
We will cover the accommodations for both rest days, and you can use your motorbike during this time. However, please note that meals on these rest days will be at your own expense.
